Overview
This course focuses on building vocabulary and listening skills through being read classic fairytales and other bestselling children’s books.
Students will also improve their pronunciation skills by being introduced to the phonics sounds of the alphabet.
The student will be read one to two stories per lesson with various targeted vocabulary and comprehension activities based on the stories.

Research shows that listening to stories, targeted for the student’s age and ability, is the single best way for a young child to develop skill in a second language.
It is the most effective way to build listening skills, vocabulary and to become familiar with the language patterns used in speaking the language.
This is why we make reading stories such a key part of our Young Learners course.
